Capitalism--why on earth would it be related to why people work. Well, they are related becaues capitalists own of the production just like the ends justify the means of work. It was interesting to rediscuss our other Marxist reading and incorporate it with Sayer's reading. It was interesting to talk about communal living and how capitalists own that property and it is distributed to each member of the family. Like communal living, workers have a communal working place, an office building, which is split up into different individual cubicles for each worker. Learning about Marxism became more interesting than I thought it would be. It has opened my eyes to see how things really are in the "work world."
